SSE MBA Executive Format
The SSE MBA is for business leaders who want to drive success in a global context and be inspiring leaders. Live learning pedagogy, emphasis on sustainability and a global management perspective in mind.
This program lets you earn both an MBA degree and three international certificates in collaboration with Stanford Center for Professional Development, National University of Singapore and Global Network for Advanced Management (GNAM).
The SSE MBA is for working professionals and given in English, part-time over 18 months, in innovative Stockholm, Silicon Valley, Singapore, and Riga. The program stands on a general management foundation with the possibility to personalize your MBA with electives at SSE's campuses and GNAM member schools. We are ranked #9 (FT) in the world for ESG related content, and sustainability is integrated in all program modules, as being an important factor for success in doing business. Through our MBALive®pedagogy, including skills training and live projects in real organizations, the SSE MBA guarantees hands-on learning and putting new skills into action immediately. You also follow a personalized leadership program, and a professional coach will support you to grow as a leader and achieve your professional goals. The program stands for real learning, broadened perspectives and professional development with impact, and will prepare you for building, developing and leading organizations on the global arena.
Stockholm School of Economics
Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) is Sweden's oldest private university. It was founded in 1909 by representatives from the Swedish business community. The school has maintained its close ties with the business community ever since and among the school's Corporate Partners you find some of the world's leading companies such as H&M, Ericsson, ABB, Scania and Sandvik.

The successful SSE MBA applicant will have substantial experience from business, probably as a manager or in a leading position. He or she will have the energy, drive and capacity to reach higher and do more. We're looking for highly ambitious people, who have already achieved quite a lot. People who want to achieve something special and feel they need something extra to follow their ambitions.
Participants in the SSE MBA represent a broad range of academic and cultural backgrounds, industries and positions. They have extensive international experience, both from their studies and their professional life. Many have a non-Swedish background. A carefully selected group of participants contributes to high quality discussions in class and of course to learning. You also build an international network of experts in different fields and a sounding board for ideas and challenges to come in the future.
The group of 59 participants who started in December 2023 represent 17 nationalities, and average age is 39 with and age span from 28 to 50.
Application & Admission
To be admitted to the SSE MBA program you must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree and have a minimum of five years relevant work experience. As the program is given in English, a high level of English proficiency is needed, and a TOEFL or IELTS score is required to prove this, if you have not already studied at least a full year at university level with English as instruction language, or are native English speaking.
Application deadlines for the program start in December 2024 are April 30 and September 6. Application is made on-line via our home page, hhs.se/mba.
